I am the taste in the water,
the light in the sun and the moon…
I am the fragrance in the earth…
the life in the living…
I am the ritual and the worship…
I am the beginning and the end,
origin and dissolution, refuge, home, true lover…
I am the heat of the sun, I hold back the rain and release it;
I am death, and the deathless, and all that is and is not…
(excerpts from Krishna’s words to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita)
Dear Students and Friends,
As always, we are so grateful to share the teachings and path of yoga with you. Together we grow and shift into becoming more of who we already are in our true essence. Our practice is a field upon which we meet ourselves and each other, aspiring to choose the highest in our lives. As Stephen Mitchell writes in the introduction to his translation of the Bhagavad Gita,
“The Gita is a love song to Reality, a hymn in praise for everything excellent, beautiful and brave. It is a love song to both the darkness and the light, to our own true Self in the depths of being.”
May we live our lives as such a song.
Light, Love and Life,
Anna and Susie

“Your work is discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it.” - Buddha
What if everything you were seeking was inside yourself? Well it is. We all hold the ability to make our passage through this world — and the life as a teenager — easier. We don’t have to go looking for it at a mall or by being popular — we all hold the key within. The challenge is unlocking your inner heart and quieting the noise of the outside world to hear our hearts tell us what is truly right for us. Yoga and breath help to unlock that. Plus its a lot of fun moving your body, chanting funny OM sounds and going upside down in things like handstand and headstand. Come try yoga and guaranteed you will leave feeling awesome.

MONDAY NIGHT ECSTATIC DANCE
with Shelly Heilweil Sept 5th and 12th
Ecstatic dance is an easy, fun way to integrate all of the good work you do into your own cohesive whole. Let your body and mind, your heart and your spirit communicate freely while you effortlessly move to the sounds of world music. Stretch, energize, invigorate, release, enlarge, meditate, explore, evolve.$5
I started dancing in Portland, OR in 1995 while a graduate student in clinical psychology, initially as exercise. It quickly became clear that free dance, or ecstatic dance, or intentional movement—whatever one calls this form—was the most direct road into achieving my best personal balance while navigating the emotional stresses and physical strains of being a student and a practitioner. Dance is the best way I’ve found to process and to integrate daily experience into a cohesive whole. Emotional events, mental activity, and physical effort can all combine for deeper experience and greater personal understanding. Ecstatic dance is a moving meditation, a dynamic exploration, and spiritual celebration. My teachers in this form have been Vin Marti (Soul Motion & 5 Rhythms), Paula Byrne of Soma Studio, & Jen Warnock, Meshi Chavez & Winky Wheeler of the Momentum Conscious Movement Studio, and all the dancers in my fine old collective, Portland Dance Journeys. My goal is to create a vibrant Bozeman ecstatic dance community, where we all inspire one another in the dance.
